Nikhil Kalghatgi, Principal

Nikhil joined SoftBank Capital in 2010 and is based in NYC. He focuses on evaluating and sourcing Seed and Series A opportunities and has special interests in mobile, e-commerce and social platforms.

Nikhil’s engineering background is in front-end development and UX design, and prior to joining SoftBank Capital, Nikhil was Founder and Fund Manager of Partner 6 Investment Group, a micro hedge fund in Boston. Nikhil also spent several years at The MITRE Corporation, leading software engineering teams focused in mobile analytics, user experience design, and corporate strategy. He then joined the founding team of Localytics, a mobile application analytics provider as Director of Business Development & Marketing during TechStars Boston 2009.

Nikhil often works out of General Assembly, is an experimental chef at home and an avid Celtics fan.

Nikhil completed his MBA at Harvard Business School, and maintains BS and MS engineering degrees from Tufts University.
